The Department of Nutritional Sciences held its 27th Annual Nutrition and Metabolism Poster Session on March 7. The event format had many changes this year, including moving the event to Friday afternoon, changing up the venue, and opening to poster competition to anyone from Nutrition and Metabolism Graduate Program faculty trainer’s labs. The grand prize went to N&M graduate student Juyeong Cho from the Chaudhari lab for her poster “A Gut-Bacterial Metabolite of Methotrexate Improves Intestinal Health and Mitochondrial Function”. Honorable mention prizes were awarded to grad students Jack Williams (Chaudhari lab), Andrew Tu (Yen lab), Heather Emery (Rey lab), Eric McGregor (Anderson lab), and Jake Hermanson (Leone lab).
